Choosing the Right Regulatory Database for You: Three Regulators Demonstrate Their Systems

Note: This is a regulator-only webinar

As more states consider adopting a regulatory database or replacing their current system, this session provides a practical, side-by-side look at three platforms used by state higher education regulators: Thentia, Veoci, and EDvera. Regulators will outline the core functions their databases support—such as initial and renewal applications, student complaints, and reporting. Each presenter will demonstrate an example application and workflow and share sample reports. The session concludes with Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to ask detailed questions in a single, focused forum, including broader inquiries about selecting a system and navigating implementation.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the core regulatory functions supported by three different database systems (Thentia, Veoci, and EDvera), including applications, complaints, workflows, and reporting.
  • Compare how state regulators implement and use their databases in day-to-day operations through demonstrations of real processes and system outputs.
  • Evaluate key factors to consider when selecting or transitioning to a regulatory database, including functionality, usability, and implementation considerations discussed during Q&A.

Presenters:
